How To Run & Plan a Service Event (Special Program)

Youth Involvment in philanthropy is beneficial in many ways:

1. Improve Social Skills
2. Teaches responsibility and empowerment
3. Gives a greater sense of self esteem
4. Helps you to learn to think beyond yourself, teaches you to appreciate what you have
5. Teaches you Empathy
6. Gives you a sense of what community is

This Academy will expose our students to the tools they need to create and run an event at their school or in the community.  Whether it be a food drive, book drive, 5 k, or just helping with other organized events, this information will help you build your experience and your college activities list.

Will count as Academy Credit towards the 19 – 20 school year.
