Leadership Opportunities

Officers are the FACE of the Crosby Scholars Program at their schools. The Officers and their titles are posted below. They can also be found in the Student Portal. If you are interested in running for office in the 2020-2021 School Year, please fill out this online survey:

Available Leadership Positions:

Sophomore Vice President
Junior Vice President
President

Responsibilities include:
• Attend the Officer's Leadership Training/Academy- May 9, 2020
• Promote the goals and ideals of the Crosby Scholars Program
• Maintain contact with the High School Program Coordinator and the assigned school Liaison through email correspondence
• Work with other grade level Officers to create a community service opportunity on your HS campus for all the Crosby Scholars at your school
• Assist with activities on campus – open house, orientation, curriculum fairs, and other campus events throughout the school year
• Maintain a campus bulletin board with current Crosby Scholars information
• Coordinate group photo and pictures for the yearbook( if Crosby Scholars is an official club at your school)
• Report activities to school newspaper and or for daily announcements
• Attend Crosby Club meetings for your grade level
• Senior President reads a statement and introduces students at the Senior Gala

In order to run for office in the 2020-2021 school year, students must meet the following criteria:

  1.  Meet all Crosby Scholars Yearly Requirements – Community Service, Academy Attendance, etc.
  2. Attend a minimum of 2 out of 4 Crosby Club Meetings (must be present at last meeting)
  3.  Agree to attend the Officer's Leadership Training/Academy on May 9, 2020
  4. Complete Google Nomination form (link is found above) by end of March
  5. Student must be present at the last Crosby Club meeting
  6. Minimum of a 2.5 unweighted GPA

*How do we determine who is elected into office?* 

  • If you receive the highest number of votes during the election process
  • If our staff believes you have demonstrated high interest and involvement with the Program
  • If you are able to attend the Leadership Training/ Academy on May 9, 2020 from 10a.m.-12 at the Goodwill Industries Building in Statesville
