A Night To Remember

April 28, 2026, we gathered at the Statesville Civic Center to celebrate our graduating seniors, awarding scholarships, presenting graduation cords, and awarding certificates. The event was attended by 400+ students, parents, educators and supporters.

Student officers were also recognized, and Executive Director Awards were presented, honoring students who have been members of Crosby Scholars from 6th through the 12th grade without interruption.

During the ceremony, keynote speaker Richard Totten gave students four keys to success after high school.

Don't compare your own success against someone else's. "You can't weigh your own success on someone else's scale."

Failure isn't failure. "Progress and growth can sometimes be messy and painful....Give yourself permission to fail and make mistakes, but give yourself the resolve to get back up and get going."

Find your tribe. "Find your community. Do not go through life alone....Surround yourself with people that don't just make you feel better, but be better."

Hold time in its place. "Time is the most precious resource on earth, because you can only spend it once....Hold the past in your heart. Hold the present in your pocket, and reach for the future."
