April 18: Hartness Road "Adopt-A-Street" Clean Up
Iredell Crosby Scholars students and parents are asked to help with our “Adopt-a-Street” volunteer effort to clean a mile stretch of Hartness Road in Statesville!. It’s a great way to earn service hours, contribute to the city of Statesville and beautify the community! We’ll meet at the Dollar Tree at 805 N. April 21: Community Family Pack Night
Iredell Crosby Scholars can join in with Food For Days: A Backpack Ministry to help pack over 300 weekend meals bags for area school students. The event happens Tuesday, April 21 at 691 Brookwood Street from 6 - 8pm, Register in SignUp Genius
April 25: 6th Annual Open House - Iredell County Animal Services
Participation will allow students to earn service hours, visit the shelter, learn about the department, take a tour, and engage with our staff. More details about this opportunity will be shared once finalized. Visit them online!
Missing deadlines may result in the loss of program benefits. For example, seniors may not be eligible for certain scholarships. Students might not be recognized (with certificates, for example) at school programs. Finally, late forms may cause the student to lose continuous enrollment in the program.
Turning in Hours
Complete the community service form in CrosbyConnect
FYI-You can turn in hours to Crosby Scholars that you have completed for other groups. You do not have to do extra or "special" hours for Crosby Scholars. If you have completed hours for JROTC, Beta Club, Scouts, or other groups, they will most likely count for Crosby Scholars, too! Just be sure to complete our form in CrosbyConnect so that we know you have completed community service!

Instructions for students who choose to complete community service:
The student should take a screenshot of their screen (make sure the time is visible in the screenshot) when they start and end their service.
Email your screenshots to a Crosby staff member (MS Coordinator, HS Coordinator, or JR/SR Manager) as proof of your service hours.
Complete the community service form in CrosbyConnect. Describe what you did, and list the website name as the organization. The contact person should be whichever Crosby staff member you sent your screenshots to.
