DESCRIPTION:6th through 12th grade students: Help the V-Point Ruritan Club with their great monthly breakfast on Saturday\, 4/6/19 from 6 am to 10:30 am (come the amount of time you can). This is a very popular\, fun opportunity. Help them set up tables\, cook and serve food and drinks and clean up\, including busting tables. They are located at 2794 Old Mocksville Hwy\, Statesville. Interested Scholars should register on the student/parent portal. \nRegistration is required. DESCRIPTION:Juniors get a jump start on your Senior academies for Class of 2020 – College Lists & Activities Resume on April 6\, 2019 from 10 am to 12 noon at the Goodwill Career Connections Center\, 124 Fourth Crescent Place\, Statesville\, NC 28625 \nThe summer is going to be short and you will need to create your college lists and activities resume before you can start applying to colleges on August 15th. We will be offering information on how to create these items\, review resources available\, create tracking tools to help you understand what you are looking for and which schools meet your needs. This will put you ahead of the college application process. \nOpen to Juniors – Attendance will give you credit for 1 Senior Academy for next year. \n

DESCRIPTION:Academy for Senior Parents – Surviving your Child’s Freshman Year will be on 4/8/19 from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Goodwill Workforce Development Center\, 124 Fourth Crescent Place\, Statesville \nSending your child off to college can be stressful for any parent. Dealing with the world your child now lives in is so different and can create frustration and anxiety. This session will help you understand the rules for this new game of life. What you learn will help you navigate your child’s first year of college so that it’s exciting and stress free for everyone. \nThis academy is for parents of Crosby Scholars seniors. Students do not need to attend. This academy does not count toward the 2 Senior academies requirement.
