DESCRIPTION:9th-11th Grade Crosby Club Meeting #1 — “Getting to Know Each Other” Introductions and Welcome! \nOur staff will share positive personal\, social\, and educational experiences with those who attend the meetings. They help Crosby Scholars achieve their post-secondary goals by leading discussions on grade-appropriate topics focused on the college admissions process. The topics build a foundation of knowledge that prepares the scholar for the Senior Program. Meetings typically include a short activity with time for questions and discussion. \nCrosby Club meetings are group meetings and therefore are not rescheduled unless the school is closed or after-school activities are canceled by the school. \nHead to your Student Portal to register!

DESCRIPTION:New community service opportunity for 6th through 12th grade students: Union Grove Ruritan Club will be having a benefit breakfast and auction to raise money for a member who has cancer. They really need volunteers for this event on Saturday\, October 26\, from 7 am to approximately 12 noon. Help them prepare food and serve food and drinks and clean up after the breakfast. Then at approximately 10 am they will begin the auction. During the auction\, one way students would be helpful would be by taking items bought to the donors. This event will be held at the Union Grove Community Center\, 1869 W. Memorial Highway\, Union Grove\, NC. Pre-registration is required.
