The program\, which is open to rising\nseniors only\, with exceptions made for rising juniors in selected performing/visual arts areas\, is\nlocated on two campuses: Governor’s School West at Greensboro College in Greensboro and\nGovernor’s School East at Meredith College in Raleigh. Governor’s School West began in 1963\nand Governor’s School East began in 1978.
